I am proud to give you a preview of my Oil Portraiture Service.
Unlike the majority of my body of work, my portraiture is photo-representational.
I strive to capture the essence of the persona or spirit of the
person I am painting, but also execute the image with a unique
measure of artistic license, shown in my use of color.
I need only a high-quality digital image which I strongly
prefer you snail-mail to me, but it can be emailed if absolutely
necessary. It will be returned to you unharmed with the finished
portrait. I use candid shots, a capture of a moment in the life
of the subject, not something stiff and "posed", which
always comes off as artificial. For clients living in my area
who wish to commission an Oil Portrait and do not have a suitable
photo, I will come take the photo myself for an additional fee.
These Oil Portraits are heirlooms-to-be; they make very meaningful
sentimental gifts for almost any occasion you can think of: weddings,
birthday milestones, anniversaries, graduations, corporate or
business, new home ( I also do houses, boats and cars), expectant
Moms, toddlers, Valentines' Day and Christmas, Mothers' Day, Fathers'
Day, just about any special occasion you wish to commemorate and
honor. Your recipient will never forget that you gave them this
amazing and heart-touching gift !
I am proud to say my Oil Portraits are truly treasured in the
homes they hang in; plans are in place to pass them down from
generation to generation as a loving remembrance of the times
and people families want to cherish always.
Prices begin at $1500. for a 16"x20" framed portrait
for one subject. Add $300 for an additional subject; I usually
limit the work to 3 subjects but will consider more if the photo
is exceptional quality. More subjects require longer to paint,
so bear that in mind when you order, email Circe2001@aol.com
for details. Portraits require a NON-REFUNDABLE $600. deposit.
All work must be shipped with insurance, which will be priced
according to your zip code. Understand that shipping is based
not only on weight but size, so take that into consideration.
Your Oil Portrait will be lovingly & meticulously painted,
expect 20 to 30 days for your commission to be completed. Oil
paint varies in drying time and these cannot be shipped until
they are bone dry. Orders for Christmas must be made no later
than Oct 20th; for Valentines' Day, no later than Dec 30th; these
are my busiest time of year for Oil Portraits.
I will consider rush orders under certain circumstances, but there
will be an additional $250. charge, email for details.
It would be my great honor to paint & immortalize you or your
loved ones; I look forward to working with you on your very special
Oil Portrait.
Warmly: Susi
