We are so excited to meet you!

Hi, I'm Susi, the photographer behind Susi Franco Photography! My wife, Jamie, and I have built this business rooted in love, authenticity, and connection. Every project we take on is a celebration of who you are, a chance to tell stories that truly resonate. We share a passion for our craft, creating an inclusive space where every client feels seen, valued, and represented. Our work is a reflection of our shared belief in the beautify of every identity and the power of capturing genuine moments.

Why do you do photography?

Susi: I am obsessed with making others feel fully comfortable and authentic in their bodies during a shoot. I fall in love with photography every time a client loves the way they look in a photo. The world has enough self-hatred going around, I'm all about that irresistible self-love.

Jamie: Capturing joy, laughter, and connection is absolute magic. In a world that moves so fast, there is something so special about documenting a split second in time - whether it is a monumental moment or an average Tuesday, each frame is sacred and one-of-a-kind.

What do you do when you are not behind the camera?

Susi: I love foraging mushrooms, learning about herbalism, gardening, playing guitar, woodworking, watercoloring, baking, to name a few things. If you can't tell - hobbies are a big part of my life. My all time favorite thing is to spend time with my wife and dog.

Jamie: I spend most of my time telling my dogs how perfect they are. I also enjoy going on walks at local parks, trying out new recipes, going to the library to pick out new books to read, watching trash television, and spending time with loved ones!

What does being queer mean to you?

Susi: Queerness for me is a verb. It is not just that I fell inlove with a woman, or that I am gender fluid. Queer means challenging the norm, having a blank canvas to draw my life upon allowing my body to be the site for my liberation.

Jamie: Being queer means stepping into the creative exploration of learning who I truly am, versus who society would like me to be. Queerness is swimming upstream and following our collective roots back to connection, community, and interdependence. Being queer means celebrating the complexities and contradictions that make us who we are.

What music are you listening to lately?

Susi: If you know me, you know I'm always down for some reggeaton, salsa, or vallenato. What you probably don't know is that when I'm editing photos I almost exclusively listen to R&B and jazz. I really love music and am always looking to discover more - can't wait to hear what you're listening to these days!

Jamie: A quirk of my nuerodivergence is that I am pretty sensitive to sound, so I tend to listen to a lot of lo-fi and soft instrumental music. When I am in the headspace for it, I love everything from Chappel Roan, to Bad Bunny, to Etta James, to Novo Amor.
